Every Property is Different (And That's a Good Thing!)
After completing dozens and dozens of goat grazing projects across Oregon, we've learned one important thing:
No two properties are alike.
Some jobs are as simple as unloading the goats into an existing fenced area and letting them get to work. Others involve hauling hundreds of feet of fencing through blackberry thickets and poison oak patches, climbing steep hillsides, navigating rocky terrain, and making multiple visits throughout the project.
The goats don't mind. Our backs occasionally do.
Our Tiered Pricing System
After a lot of trial, error, sweat, scratched arms, and more blackberry vines than we'd like to remember, we developed a simple tiered pricing system that keeps our quotes fair and consistent.
-
Tier 1 – The Easy Ones
The property is easy to access, setup is minimal, and the goats can get right to work. These projects require very little additional labor beyond bringing in our hungry crew.
These jobs start at $700. -
Tier 2 – Most Projects
This is where the majority of our jobs fall. These projects usually require portable fencing, additional setup, routine check-ins, and some ongoing maintenance while the goats are on-site. They take more planning and hands-on work, but they're all part of creating a safe, successful grazing project.
These jobs start at $1,800. -
Tier 3 – The "We'll Earn Our Dinner" Jobs
These are the properties that build character. These are the very steep hillsides, endless blackberry jungles, rocky terrain, and places where every fence post makes us question our life choices. The goats still love every minute of it. We just know to pack extra water...and maybe some ibuprofen.
These jobs start at $3,500.
What Goes Into Your Quote?
Every quote considers the unique needs of your property, including things like:
-
How much brush needs to disappear
-
How steep or difficult the property is
-
Whether we need to build portable fencing
-
How easy it is to access the site
-
How often we'll need to visit during the project
-
How far we'll be traveling
-
How long the goats will be working
No two properties check all the same boxes, which is why we build every quote specifically for your land.
We Didn't Invent This Pricing in an Office
We invented it while dragging fencing through blackberry patches on steep hillsides.
After dozens of projects, we realized the hardest part of goat grazing usually isn't the goats—it's everything that happens before, during, and after they arrive.
Some jobs take an hour to set up. Others take an entire day.
Some properties hardly need a follow-up. Others require regular visits to move fencing, smash down vegetation, refill water, swap batteries, and make sure everyone is healthy and happy.
Every project has helped us refine our process, and our tiered pricing simply reflects the amount of work that goes into giving your property (and our goats) the best experience possible.
Ready for a Quote?
The best way to get an accurate price is to tell us a little about your property.
Send us a few photos/videos and the property’s address (so we can map the property) to get the ball rolling. We should be able to tell you what Tier you are looking at before scheduling the site visit. After a site visit, we'll put together a customized quote based on your specific project.
We will do our best to accommodate your personal situation. We are a local family who loves our goats and loves this area. We'd love to share our goats' talent for clearing brush with you. Request your free quote today, and let's put our goats to work!
